Aw, man......

I'm not saying they can't write and sing about it, I'm sure it affected their lives deeply. All I'm saying is that a human life isn't more precious in US than it is in the rest of the world!

Of course not but they are an American band, just like U2 is an Irish band. Writers write about what they know. American lives are not more important but I get a sense sometimes that there is a contingent out there that thinks they are less important somehow or we should just keep this 9/11 thing to ourselves. Terrorism literally hit home that day and we did finally understand what the rest of the world has been living with in many parts of the world. It is now a part of our culture and Bon Jovi is an American band, even though they have a huge international audience. If Undivided bothers you, skip that track- there are plenty of non 9/11 songs and even Everyday, which was 9/11 inspired, could really be about any situation.

Okay, fine.. I'll put it this way.


Bon Jovi are from America. They started in America, they'll finish in America, and they're American citizens.
