Default Bon Jovi Turned Commercial?

I am personally a die hard bon jovi fan and have been nearly 17 years now but am wondering does anyone share my opinion on this one?Jon had always said when they released "Keep The Faith" that Bon Jovi were a band that didnt follow trends and justified this when they released an absolute gem of a record that had everything and goes down as one of my favs of all time but lately it seems all Bon Jovi are about is following trends and personally i am disappointed in the two latest studio albums Crush and Bounce. The albums contained collaborations with Britney Spears songwriter, drum loops and effects and dont even come close to the genius that is these days, keep the faith, new jersey etc. Crush and Bounce are mostly pop albums and as voted on this site Bon Jovi are a Rock band.so why the sudden change of style?Ticos drums have turned all pop sounding, richies solos are not as long, the music videos are focusing way more on Jon with make up and newly whitened teeth then on Jons,Richies,Ticos,Daves and Hughs musical genius and they are being nominated in POP categories these days ieGrammys??Just wondering if anyone else shares my opinion that Jon has gone back on his word a small bit

Almost 100 million albums sold... when was Bon Jovi NOT a commercial band?

They were always commercial. In the 80s they made music that the people in the 80s wanted the hear, in the 90s music for the people in the 90s and now they make the music the people today want to hear. They never were an independence band.

A commercial band i would define as a band who put out records solely to make money.Jon said that Bon Jovi are not about making money but producing great music.Thats all im asking about?

Ps Keep The Faith and These Days are not even close to any other albums that were hits around that time?

Making music and selling albums is their job, not their hobby. And it is very easy to loose the record contract if an album isn't successfull. The best example for this is Mariah Carey who sold way more albums all together than BJ but as soon as one album flopped she lost the record deal.

They grow. They evolve. They continue to write songs that they are proud of. Jon and Richie have said so often how proud they are of Bounce. They're giving it to us from their hearts. It just happens that what comes from their hearts has always had the ability to reach other people and allow the guys to keep making records and touring. That's not a bad thing.
