A ballad and a love song are two different things. Yes, in theory they can be interspurced quite nicely, but technically they are different in nature.

A ballad is an ongoing narrative story, that could have progressive lyrics.

A love song discusses the trials and tribulations of love and how much someone loves someone else, etc.

Just thought I would clear this up.

If you think it all sucks so much ... Why do you bother being here !!!! Al ot of people like the songs you name (if not to say adore them !!) and I don't think you will get a lot of sympathy by talking like that.

Sorry is my opinion

So I cant appreciate Keep The Faith, Dry County, Livin on a prayer, Just older and near enough every other Jovi classic just because I find the majority of there love songs/ballads really sickening? Er.....ok. Vallie that was the most stupidest reply EVER!

I don't think any of the ballads (or love songs, whatever you want to call them ) are bad. They are just a different style then all the other bj songs. And like them or not... for being a ''rock and roll'' group, they are able to pull them off very well.

I dont agree Frick. Guns N' Roses, Skid Row, Aerosmith and Im sure theres other bands, they do ballads/epics/love songs whatever you wanna call them, much better than Jovi (except for the odd few) Some people like them, some dont, I just think that by putting say "I want You" on KTF album, it kinda ruins the masterpieces that are on that album and alot of Jovi haters associate them with cheesy ballads, maybe if they didnt do so many, the band would have more fans and Jon would get the critical acclaim that he deserves and deep down inside, would like

I can see your point..... but as for me, I really like the ballad/slow songs they do. Don't get me wrong, I love the faster stuff too, but to me bj wouldn't be the same without the slower stuff. If you don't like it, just skip over those songs!

I could just skip the songs or Jon could save me the effort by not putting them on there in the first place I still cant listen to one Jovi album the whole way through without skipping a song though, which is a shame cos there albums are so strong and to be let down by 1 or 2 lame songs sucks!!!!!!
