Throw out this corker and replace it with SIlent Night - that would be a first step in the right direction!

As I am not a native speaker and my English was even worse back in the day I always thought "waking up with an iron clad fist" means he has a morning woody ?! Or is it really the meaning of this part ?!?!?

Thumbs down

I was listening to the Glendale's Bootleg with some friends, one of them isn't in particulary in "Jovi's World" ... When Bed Of Roses came up he said he was surprised about the underwealthming vocal performance by Jon. He was so right. We were undeniably shocked by this.

Where to begin ... All in all it was a piss poor performance. This Semi-TLFR Version simply doesn't live up to the standards set even by the last tour, which were pretty low to begin with except a few none exceptions such as Frankfurt.

It's played so so so so so soooooooooooooo very slow that it was a pain to listen through. The guitar was sub par even more considering how slow the song was played. Despite all this, there is one contender that takes the prize: THE VOCALS.

From a boring whispering start to a whining nasal finish, the whole experience was deplorable. The lamest part was the first "high" chorus.

Having so many songs to choose from and knowing that he can't deliver anymore and even though I love the song, I truly believe that it should be put to rest for good.

PD - After Roses we decided to give Faith a try, but that's a story for another time ...

You call BoR cheese, but you want to hear Silent Night...

Seriously, I'm a pretty big BoR fan. I think TAALS inches it out as the best of the 90's Big 3, but it's pretty even with Always IMO. "This blonde gave me nightmares, she's still in my bed as I dream about movies they won't make of me when I'm dead." is one of my favorite Jovi lyrics.

I always thought of BOR like a completely calculated song like "hey we need a ballad so let's write one". Sure "SIlent Night" is a cheesy song either but i like it way more than BOR. They should put this one to rest

I used to adore this song when I was first getting into Bon Jovi, then I became really sick of it and didn't listen to it for a couple of years.

Until two nights ago where I listened to it and was blown away once again. The lyrics in this song are some of Bon Jovi's best.

Bed of Roses isn't cheese. It's a mature ballad. KTF was a great album. They left the cheese behind in the 90s I think but have since gone back to it.

KTF is way overrated in my book. The second half is mainly fillers if you ask me!

I'd be hesitant to call either on of these songs cheese, so you both need your heads knocked together.

I'm fairly certain both of these songs were dead honest reflecting from Jon, Silent Night (as well as much of that album) coming from the break up with Dorothea with Bed of Roses addressing their reunited married state with that ongoing struggle continuing.

I don't think this song is considered a minority-appreciated song.
