I could actually think of 3 or 4 BJ ballads that beat Always, but Bed Of Roses is the best of the bunch.

well of the 2 it's bed of roses since the guitar work is better, the drums are heavier and it basically stops being a ballad guitar solo onwards and becomes a rock song, just with a slow tempo

Right, well since you've done it to me once before Tom, I'm now gonna make an obscure reference to an old post which I'm sure you've long forgotten.....

Aloha !

It's Bed Of Roses for me. I used to love Always though, but my ex girlfriend kinda screwed the song for me. The story of the song became the truth for me. Especially the line when he holds you close...etc...I wish I was him...Not very nice. After I got over the break I still think the song is good, but it just doesn't appeal that much to me as it used to do.

Now that I'm happy together with another girl who's a Bon Jovi fan, I do want to lay her down in a bed of roses. And like Tom says, it starts as a ballad and ends up like a rock song. Nowadays it just appeals more to me. When I think of the video and I see Richie playing the guitar solo on that mountain I just so want to be with her. (yes I am really really in love )
