because which was the biggest hit of the 2???

also which was the most important from the band's point of view in terms of:

a) boosting popularity
b) boosting record sales
c) " " " " tv and radio play

???

let alone in terms of introducing younger fans to the music through it's crossroads identity

BOR isn't a ballad as far as i'm concerned - especially not when you watch ANY of the versions from 1993 - amazing performances by Jon all-round... possibly some of his best vocal performances

I just don't vote, 'cause I really don't know which is better for me...
Maybe I'd say Always, but no, no, now I'd say Bed Of Roses!!!
I have to say that the first time I've listened to Always I was really shocked!!! And still now, if I listen to it, it's a very special sensation...
But I also think that Bed Of Roses is a very true and sincere Song!!!
I think the lyrics explain very well the way Jon felt in that period.
And, about the Music, I just can say that I like both...

First off, I must say that I made the same mistake as Sebasteen, and I dedicated Always to a girl...now my ex, so that ruins the song for me. Although it is a beautiful song, yes, a bit corny, but I do like it. Bed Of Roses always seemed like the boring one for me, I never really liked the "holy ghost" part in the chorus, but I got over that. I love the beginning with the piano and the solo in the middle of the song, but I never really understood "this hotel bar hangover's whiskey's gone dry, the barkeeper's wig's crooked, and she's givin' me the eye..." I'm pretty sure I got the lyrics right there...I guess it implies guilt on him? Out of honesty, I like I'll Be There For You and This Ain't A Love Song better than these two. I agree that they are classic Jovi, and I do like Always and Roses, but not as much.
