Another reason why bands don't always visit certain markets?

I know of 3 separate people, 2 who visited and one who runs a charity in Joberg and lives there, they have all been mugged/robbed. The latter has been robbed twice and had several thousand pounds worth of rand stolen from their charity office, and had to bribe the police to even take up the case..

That would be gate receipts remember, people who bought tix at the door rather than going through an agent like ticketmaster or whatever.

I would guess its more takings from the concessions stands for food/drink and merchandise as well as any on the gate sales. So the stadium has made absolutely nothing from having 2 huge gigs, unless their insurance covers that.

There were no ticket sales at the gate, both concerts were sold out before the events. News reports here suggest it is "only" the takings from the concession stands.
