Livin On A Prayer gotta be best i've witnessed...worst possibly Rockin In The Free World which i saw open at MK...the atmoshphere was probably buzzin down in the fan club pit but in the general admission anywhere the concert might have well had not begun till Bad Name...even though i enjoyed hearin it...it just didn't work for the atmoshere! where as everyone is up and singin with Prayer!

I think the best ones are ones that are a bit special (at the risk of sounding obvious). Just coming out and playing a song doesn't really cut it, which is why I don't think Bounce or Lost Highway really worked (that, and they're not fantastic songs). So Prayer has the build up at the beginning, as does I Believe and the '89 version of LYHOM; OWN had the elevator thing; '96 LYHOM had the marching band, and Last Man Standing had the catwalk.

Actually, Bon Jovi are quite good at making their opening songs special
