Yeah, Last Man Standing sucked. Too slow and too low.

I never liked the idea of a show opening with Jon playing guitar,it ties him down to a mike stand and I always felt he should be moving around a bit more at the beginning...however the opening on the ramp in the stadium shows worked for me or at least it did in Croke Park, him being out in the crowd for it really got the crowd going and built up the atmosphere the way an opener should...
I actually like Lost Highway opening from the clips I've seen, the band coming out bit by bit seems to work the crowd up slowly, you can hear the increased noise as each of them come out until Jons silhouette appears...but that may not work in a stadium in Europe because it'll be too bright out to effectively produce a silhouette so it may be changed...

OK...I can understand when other fans feel Prayer is better left as a closer than an opener, but (if you don't mind me asking) why do you feel it's the worst?

Just curious...

I didn't see it myself, but this is the best I've ever seen (on screen) or heard. Might be the coolest thing in Jovi history

I can tell the worst. Lost Highway.

as best....

Lay yr hands was a great opener, with the big intros, either 88-89 0r '96
Rocking in the Free World is a great opener also.
LMS was also a great opener at HAND tour.
I certainly prefer Prayer at the end of the show.
