KTF for me. IML made me a fan, but I like KTF a lot more than any of the others on the list.

i voted for KTF as you asked Best First Single and for me, thats the one. but i think IML had a very important role on the bands career, and yeah it might be pop-rock but it made people realize that they still exist and gave them some new fans.. lots i'd say

You Give Love A Bad Name, not because it was the best, because I don't think it is. But because it was the beginning of their status as one of the biggest bands in the world. The video said it all with it's literal explosive pyro opening and the undeniable hook. The song and video has not aged well, but if you keep perspective..at the time it was cool. Time and overplay killed the song.

Keep the Faith follows 2nd for me, though it is the better song, because it did the job of ensuring they were not going to be locked in to the hairband 80s. It established them as transcendal.

Runaway is 3rd, because it was the beginning of it all...it said "pay attention to this band, there are great things to come."

Well, its says "the best" and for me TAALS is obviously the best :P I don't think any other would have made me a fan. Especially not the ones that followed TAALS: IML and Everyday
