I forgot about that one. If I put in ALL of the songs like that, it would overrun the poll limit. There are more than just the lead singles.

TILTIL, I don't know... but the chord pattern is very similar, so, yeah maybe.
That's what I thought too. But I went mainly for the lyrical content. But "coincidentally" these songs all have similar chord patterns and other things musically.

What I was debating with TILTIL is the fact that it's more of a love / "we'll make it" song. It's more related to Livin' on a Prayer than it is to It's My Life, I think. And I wouldn't put Prayer in this category.

i agree with this. my favourite is without any doubts HAND, i love the drums, the guitar, the chorus, everything about it really. it's a powerful very melodic song. i like IML too, but not as good imo. the others are pretty forgettable, especially bounce, i'm totally indifferent to it.

they're "the same damn song with a different melody" (or in this case, the same damn song with the same melody )

How can IML be a clone of itself?

Anyway HAND is the best song of the batch. It's the best song that they have released since 1996.

I went for HAND. Probably the best lyrically out of the songs listed, and though similar to IML it still has it's uniqueness.

I like Complicated. Yeah it's the same song..but as Dylan said you write five songs and spend the rest of your career re-writing them!

Hence why GNR are amazing! All their stuff was different!

Indeed. And Queen too... and Bon Jovi as well, at least until 2000. But still, even though their writing has become more limited, each album still has a unique feel/sound to it.
