Has to be I Believe. Although Hey God is very close. I've never liked Let It Rock as opener. Prayer or Bad Name would have been a better pick and then let Let It Rock open the 2nd side of the vinyl.

Aside from Bounce, the post-2000s albums are quite lame in respect that the opening tracks are just the first singles and don't really represent an album opener in my eyes.

The 3 best openers for me are Lay Your Hands On Me, Hey God and I Believe, with Let It Rock doing a good job too. But I think the drum intro makes Lay Your Hands On Me edge it.

Looking at these lists, I think they made the right decision for most of their albums. LOAP or Bad Name probably would've been a better pick than Let It Rock, and Happy Now or WWWB would've been better than WWBTF, but other than that I agree with their decisions. As bad as BWC is, I don't think any other song should replace it in that slot.

And I love Undivided as the opener. I wouldn't want that gem sandwiched between two crappy ballads like Bounce is.

I have to pick Hey God. I Believe is a brilliant opener as well, but there is something about that little chat in the beginning of Hey God and the moment the music kicks in... Gets me crazy excited every single time and then I just have to listen to the whole album.

Most of the openers work well. Born to Follow is one that should be replaced... I skip Because We Can every time I listen to What About Now, but I have no idea which song to put in its spot. I'm With You, as great as it is, isn't the best choice either...

I Belive, I loved that opening on the KTF Tour (unfortunately, I listened it only on bootlegs).

i prefer I Believe as a song but i reckon Lay Your Hands works better as an opener, mainly because of the drum intro that builds up anticipation.
