As a album Have A Nice Day definitaly.

As an album Bounce is their worst IMO, no flow at all their worst songs ever BUT also their greatest post 2000 songs by miles, Undivided....

This is tough because IMO there has not been one album this decade that ticks all the boxes.

Sure you will always find a song or two that are filler but I struugle to listen to any post 2000 album from start to finish.

Some great songs like:

It's my life
Two story town
Just older
Mystery train
One wild night
Neurotica
Undivided
The distance
Hook me up
Bounce
Have a nice day
Last man standing
Novocaine
Make a memory
Whole lot of leavin'
Any other day
Lonely

...but not one great album. I like the grunge feel to some songs off 'Bounce' and due to the fact that 'Undivided, Hook me up & Bounce' are heavier in sound I will go with 'Bounce', however it does have some truely shocking songs too. It's worth pointing out some of the other songs recording during these sessions that did not make the final cut:

Another reason to believe
Standing
We can dance
Lucky
No regrets
Breathe
Postcards from the wasteland
Alive

'Bounce' should have been a great album, if the ballads were left off in favour of 3-4 of the above songs then it would have been.

I am hoping 'The Circle' will be the most complete album of the decade.

For me it came down to HAND or BOUNCE. I chose HAND because I think it is the best album with good lyrics and musically sound compared to Crush and Bounce and LH.

Bounce definitely! As a matter of fact I still don`t dig Crush...HAND is pretty good too...and LH is the biggest mistake one band has ever made!

In my view:

Crush had some standout songs (OWN, IML, Just Older, Two Story Town) and some mediocre ballads (TYFLM, She's a mystery). 7/10

Bounce was a step in the right direction on the rock front (Bounce, Undivided, Everyday) but too heavily influenced by 9/11. Sadly, it also included such bore inducers as Joey and the terrible All about lovin' you. 6/10

Have a Nice Day is a standout album for this decade, some great angsty rock (HAND, I want to be loved, Complicated, Unbreakable). Some material that was a bit different (LMS, Novocaine) that worked well, Of course theres the usual slow songs (Bells of freedom, I am) but for me they are above the quality of most ballads from other post-2000 albums anyway. 8.5/10

Lost Highway is generally alright with some good tracks (LH, Summertime) and the outstanding Any other day, but some of the tracks seemed like pure filler to me (Last Night, One step closer). Liked some of the slow stuff (MAM, Stranger), but overall, not the best post-2000 album. 6.5/10

For me HAND wins, especially with those great bonus tracks (DLS, Nothing).

I am just curious what the next decade will bring They had a different sound in every decade so far. Maybe it will bring a change once more...

Bounce of course. It has the heavy tracks(which is always good) and Luke Ebbin really made it so we could hear the true tone of the 1958 Flying V Korina Richie played. Plus there were some decent slow tracks which when compared to others on here , I rather enjoy but I enjoy them mainly for Richie's guitar licks here and there.

Crush is the weakest and I've never felt any inspiration that exhudes off that particular record. It's my life? Sure, but what else? Next 100 years is decent yes but Richie's solo is too burid in the mix and being Luke Ebbin's first big rock band he'd worked with I can forgive him but not Jon he's the experienced one.

Have A Nice Day is decent but John Shanks' production drags it down. I do enjoy though Richie's little licks which John Shanks like to bring out on every artist's record he produces. I listen to Michelle Branch's "Are You Happy Now?which John Shanks produced and I can imagine it being a Bon Jovi tune. By the way maybe John Shanks had an influence when Jon was deciding what to call a new song off of the circle..."Happy Now?"

Lost Highway has grown on me these last couple of years and it has alot of inspiration behind it even if 75% of the songs are recycled.

Bounce. Crush and Lost Highway are tied at second, as there are some very good songs on there, but I only like one song off of Have A Nice Day. Shocking album, in my honest opinion.
