These Days gets my vote. Closely followed by Keep The Faith.

Someday I'll Be Saturday Night and Always were brilliantly produced as well in my opinion and have aged very well.

Slippery and NJ have a great sound for their era, but it hasn't aged that well.

Keep The Faith, These Days and Destination Anywhere all sound wonderful on their own to me and still don't feel dated production wise

SWW, NJ, KTF and TD are the best produced albums of the band. No doubt. But my problem with Keep The Faith (my favorite album, by the way), is that the guitars are low in volume at some points. I get the feeling that Bob Rock accentuated much battery, but forgot to emphasize the guitars in the mix.

Keep the Faith song for example, would have to have sounded much more pronounced and highest the guitar in mixture. Other productions of the time, Are You Gona Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz has accentuated guitars, and I wish that Keep The Faith guitars were as high as this. Live is another story, since the guitar sounds on your site.

Keep The Faith.

New Jersey is a second for me, although it lays it on rather thick at times. KTF sounds powerful although the arrangements are a bit more reduced (keyboards, mainly).

These Days by a mile. Peter Collins is the most under-rated producer in history.

Anyhow - put some quality headphones on and listen to My Guitar Lies Bleeding in My Arms. That's production perfection. Everything is crisp and clear at the same time ample and complex. Overall - Bon Jovi were never able to re-produce the These Days sound live. Which may hint at over-production. But he sucked most out of this band in terms of musicianship - probably more than they thought they were capable of....

These Days and Keep the Faith. Every instrument has their own lifes on those albums. At the same time, you can't produce a great album if the songs aren't great. A song like What About Now would still be a crappy song even if it was recorded for These Days imo.

What scares me is that the composition of the last two albums has decayed significantly.

I have the feeling that "What About Now" was montage (a trap, excuse) of a world tour. Before, the artist make an album, and then promote this album with a tour. Now, I have the feeling that is backwards. Jon, make a new album (as an excuse) to promote his tour.

All that stuff that the new album was relevant now, uff, humbug. Jon knew that 2013 was a perfect year to tourning, no competitions like U2 or Coldplay.

Well I don't think it's a feeling. I think it's the real deal. These records look like they came out of a production line.
