Even I can hit those notes...pretty easily I might add. If jon really worked out his vocals--and stopped the god-damned smoking--to tune himself up (easily), it would be awesome! It is very different from their other songs lyrically emotionally and musically.

Dont think smokings an issue... alot of musicians smoke and still sing better then Jon, I think its just an unfortunate thing. Steve Tyler for instance has one of the best voices going around and he smokes.

Concur....though I would have preferred it had been done back when it was fresh when Jon was in that mode......you can never duplicate that hunger and emotion down the road...it becomes more of a soulles recitation after the fact. To Jon at this point..it's a distant memory...probably can't even remember the lyrics.

But then again..he did rediscover Billy Get Your Guns and do it justice on a regular basis on the Destination Anywhere tour. So if Jon gets it together as far as his voice...maybe we will still see this happen on a future solo tour as the token representative from his first solo album. I wouldn't want it performed unless he truly re-discovered the song and could deliver it onstage.
