best songs for conversion

i remember trying to convert my best friend a few years back. he's only into hard, hard rock - i'm talking bands like motorhead, the gallows, guns n roses, avenged sevenfold etc.

anyway he'd always slagged jovi so i set-about doing him a compilation disc.

i added hey god, have a nice day, homebound train, blood on blood, damned, it's my life, story of my life, dry county, one wild night ...

he came in the next day and was waxyy-lyrical about the band. he said dry county and it's my life in particular were now two of his favourite tunes.

in wouldn't say he's a mega fan or anything like that now but at least he 'gets it' and respects their work.

I tied my friend to a chair and put NJ on repeat for 3 hours. That seemed to do the trick

I've never really tried to convert anyone before, but a friend of mine listened to The Circle when we were in a music store recently and loved it.... He especially liked Working Man, which I thought was interesting given that's one that's copped a lot of flak from fans and critics alike.

I find that the non-believers really dig Stranger (the album)
