Those don't really matter, now do they?

35 on the country chart is a hit? Most of the world won't even know the number 1 on the country chart. When it's no 1 on the real Billboard, then it might be a hit in the US, but it still doesn't make it a hit elsewhere. I've yet to hear it here and it certainly hasn't been dubbed a "hit" yet anywhere.

Yeah, they're pretty much the only ones that matter. Fans and non-fans are the ones that request airplay, buy singles, buy albums. They determine if a song is a 'hit' or not.

Yes but look at different fanbases (ie age), younger teens will much likely buy a single then a 30 yr old (also 30yr old will probs buy album btw), hence all the crappy #1 the last few years.

Hitlists aren't any accurate follow-up for good music, not even popular music

I'm with Ice... I would be really surprised if this becomes a hit. Then again, I still can't believe Who Says did as well as it did. About the video, it's a pretty good performance. You can definently tell that it's down-tuned a bit, but it sounds good.

It is a brave release, but hardly a hit.

I don't know...I just don't want to see them fall flat on their faces
It would definately not be the best song to perform on American Idol--they should perform something more upbeat

Pedal steel guitar, usually Dan Huff for events like this.
