In this argument a metaphor is unacceptable because it's not quantifiable. Saying G&R were big in the 90's because of their endless tour means nothing to me. An endless tour can equate to a million different things. See that... I used a metaphor within a metaphor.

And don't touch my shit. I don't need help, especially yours.

I'd say if there's one thing you need it's help.

Here's where you said GnR weren't big in the early 90s... kind of. But referring to TSI isn't really spot on, that's why I commented.

Why do you stick to the word "endless"? The tour was huge, I should've said that. Thought it was clear. Yeah, Appetite sold more, the figures of UYI are worldwide. But remember, they released two albums at the same time. That makes the figures even bigger.

So yeah, GnR were the biggest shit out there in 1992. Especially in 1992 - they were on top of their commercial fame. But we don't really need to discuss this, do we?

And as for the metaphor you explained to me earlier on - that wasn't me. I just stepped into the discussion.

Simon - out.

This thread was supposed to revive interest in Billy Corgan's music and Rdkopper ruined it.

Oh so sorry! I'm sure this was going to be a really interesting thread that would have gone on countless pages.

I'll sum it up for you! Billy is right, Jon sucks, the end!

I'm done discussing G n R. I was there when they first came out and I was there when it all went to Shit. I own the SI and was at that very same endless tour with Metallica. There is nothing you can tell me about that band.

Just because a tour lasted until X doesn't mean they were on top until X. People started losing interest ones grunge licked in in 92. Trust me

I hate reading threads that aren't about Bon Jovi.

What are you thoughts on the Arctic Monkeys at the Olympic opening ceremony?
