Default Bitter wine -- different lyrics

Hi,

i must have read the answer to this question before, but i've forgotten it, so i'm asking you once again.
why are there two different versions of bitter wine? the booklet contains the wrong lyrics, what are they for?

I thought the lyrics were changed after the booklet was made.

Best guess is that the lyrics in the booklet are for the demo version but when recording the song for the album the lyrics were altered.

what a shame. I prefer the lyrics in the booklet. Once you were my inspiration, now that river's run dry.

The lyrics: I never thought I'd loose you, no I'd rather go blind are really awful..! Urgh!

nothing that man puts in his music is awful! but the song is about a prostitute or something isn't it, so why would she be an inspiration
