Yeah that's my feeling too. Jon seems to hit the notes too smoothly, and the audio and visual don't match up perfectly - particularly so at the end of the clip.

Yup. At least the note has been made longer, since it doesn't match the video at all...

It goes B4 to C5 during the first two choruses - then modulates to D5 to Eb5 on the key change chorus.

The wo-ah in the first 2 choruses is a C5. The key change chorus is Eb5

the whole purpose of this video seems to be a statement of the form:

"hey guys look, I m here, I can sing!! "

which makes it a bit funny. And yes I'd say the voice has been smoothed up. It is not so hard by software. But it doesn't matter so much ok, whatever.

Alright, I stand corrected. Maybe Jon using his old chesty technique on that note again made it sound higher for me, I don't know. All I know is that, prior hearing this, I thought he had completely lost the power of his voice. I knew that his range was still there, but I never thought I'd hear that kind of a high note from Jon's mouth ever again.

He REALLY belted out that Bb4, and for a split second, I could hear the voice I grew up listening to again. Yes, it will probably be unsustainable, but still... this was the first time in years that Jon's voice alone was enough to give me goosebumps.

I don't know if Jon's voice will ever become great again (and, to be honest, I don't think so either), but I'd bet it's still going to improve - A LOT. Probably not back to the level of 2008-11, but next year it'll probably be considerably better than now, though.

Either that, or Jon luckily hit a note he misses at least 9 times of 10. People can chose whatever they believe, but neither outcome has any impact on the next tour and Jon not sounding horrible in it; which he will.
