I don't know if it's a consolation or not, but I find that on other "music" related forums where I post. Trying to get someone to talk about the MUSIC is like pulling teeth. And, God forbid, you don't just love everything that the musician does. Maybe it's something about "official" sites where everything is supposed to be sunshine and puppies. Dry County can't even claim superiority there. How many posts have we had in the past year about Jon's hair or Jon's teeth or Richie's weight or Richie's love life? The in-it-for-something-other-than-music isn't unique to Bon Jovi fans. I bet that even if you went to a U2 board you'd find people yapping about Bono's ass.

That's true. This board is just as guilty as others. Knocking Richie for his weight gain is just as bad as glorifying Jon for his teeth or whatever, in my books.

I just wanted to say that it wasn't my intention to judge Jon's decisions, but only to point out others views and choices(fans, musicians, friends, music biz, past experience...)that in my opinion he didn't explore enough considering options he can use.
Personally,I have some adventure with five of my own demo songs that I took to my close friends, who gave them to their friends and so on...I guess at the end of two months journey number reached houndred of voices, and one song did stand out...after that I upload those demos to some underground musician site, and only song that reached top 20 and stayed there for six months was the one that those houndred voices picked out,
and that song was not my favorite.

Well, if you play some demo's to a bunch of Backstagers what do they expect?

Song #1 - Save The World; Comments- OMG JON I LOVE YOU

Er, its a pretty simple fact really. They can't post on backstage anymore so they come here and/or bj.com
(they might not last long here but we've certainly had a influx of "jon fans" since backstage closed to the public)

The problem with your theory is that it's not just "Jon fans" making these stupid posts. Get real. There are so many males discussion Jon's teeth and Richie's ass that it's laughable.

And you don't have to be a "Jon fan" to make stupid posts about their looks or love lives.

Maybe not, but since backstage shut the door as I said there's definately been an increase.
