Bon Jovi DVD Wins Digital Entertainment Group Award
Director Anthony Bongiovi accepts award

Worldwide superstars BON JOVI have received the Digital Entertainment Group’s (DEG) “Creative Excellence Award” for the “Music on DVD ” Category for the live concert DVD , “This Left Feels Right: Live Limited Edition.” The DVD was directed by Anthony M. Bongiovi (a brother of Jon Bon Jovi,) who accepted the award today at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas , NV in conjunction with the CES (Consumer Electronics Show.)

“This Left Feels Right: Live Limited Edition” was released in February 2004 by Island/Def Jam Records (Universal Music Group.) The DVD package included live concert performance filmed in high definition video at two November 2003 Bon Jovi concerts at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. The concerts featured live performances of Bon Jovi’s biggest hits as reworked on the “This Left Feels Right” CD (released in October 2003.)

In addition to the unique live performances, the DVD included interview footage with the band and a groundbreaking interactive poker game through which fans could participate. If viewers “won” a hand of the virtual poker they could access live concert footage of the band Hyde Park, London concert before 92,000 fans. (If they didn’t win, their ‘interaction’ with the band took the form of good-natured mocking of their card skills.)

Anthony M. Bongiovi’s TBJ Entertainment, (a multi-media production company) worked in conjunction with TBJ’s production partner company, Las Vegas -based Big Vision Productions, to produce the hi-def “This Left Feels Right” footage. Mr. Bongiovi and TBJ Entertainment produced all of the video and interactive elements featured within the DVD . Mr. Bongiovi worked closely with George Bellias on the creation of the “This Left Feels Right” music DVD , with Bellias doing all of the DVD authoring on the project.

About Anthony Bongiovi/Director
For almost 20 years, Anthony Bongiovi has toured the world, directing thousands of concerts for his brother Jon’s band Bon Jovi. He began shooting Bon Jovi’s live shows during the “Slippery When Wet” tour in 1987, a tour which lasted 16 months and 54 countries. Following that initial world tour, Anthony became a sought-after music video director after winning MTV’s “Highway to Fame” Video Competition with a rendition of AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” video by the band Bad Biscuit. From that point, he began directing and editing music videos for numerous, other, up-and- coming bands, in addition to his continuing work with Bon Jovi.

Anthony again toured the world with Bon Jovi in support of the band’s “Bounce” album. Not only does he now direct all of the live Bon Jovi shows, but also contributes to the “overall look” of the band’s stage show. For the “Bounce” tour, Anthony wrote and directed nine cinematic, intertwining “mini-motion pictures vignettes,” which accompanied the band’s live performances. The band and its management were so impressed with these vignettes, that they re-released the record as a “Limited Collectors Edition,” with the vignettes included as part of the “Bonus DVD .”

At present, Anthony is accepting future directing assignments within the areas of television , feature film, concert DVD , and commercial spots. Concurrently, he is the head of TBJ Entertainment, a High Definition multi-media production company located in Los Angeles. Anthony’s recent HD Directing projects include:
