Am I the only one who wanted to beat the living **** out of those guys from Electric Six for their cover of Radio Ga Ga? If the cover wasn't bad enough the video should have had them all publically stoned.

Never heard it!! I do actually try to ignore Queen covers... proven by the fact that I think there are not a lot.....

Well avoid it Tash, I won't even explain, you would probably be as pissed off as me about it, it really is awful.

see i dont agree with that! the last bit of LOAP is def song higher than any queen song! Jon can still sing that high tho he would be able to hold it!

i think the corus on I AM is still higher than DSMN i think Jon has got the vocals to do but not night after night! you can age and keep your voice as good as it was but you just wont be able to have it mint night after night.

look at Meat Loaf on Bat 3 he was singing better than he ever did but at his concerts would be the same as there were back in 1977

on a one of concert Jon would nail any of the high Queen songs

I think that in the 80's Jon could have technically hit notes as high as Freddy, but he didn't have the same level of control over his voice. By the time he learnt that control he'd done too much damage to his voice so that he couldn't sing quite so high anymore. I think maybe back in the early-mid 90's Jon could have done a good job with some of the higher songs, but not now. His voice has seemed better this year, but nowhere near what it once was.

The thing is, it is not just high notes with Freddie, it was his range. He could go from the highest note possible to the lowest one without his voice cracking or breaking (or whatever you call that...), somebody to love is a prime example and listen to the cd Barcelona - Freddie was close to operatic.

the word is vasetto! lol were you change your voice. freddy can do it, justin hawkings is one as well and so can i! tho not near as good as freddy (yet) lol.

now i still think Jon can do it! his voice agreed isnt as good as it once was but he can still hit the notes he just doesnt choose to do it! i think Jons voice could have went higher than Freddys but yes freddys was more contoled but that stems from the fact that he had a vocal coah with him and i believe Jon not having one destroyed his voice in the SSW tour. if freddy were alive today he wouldnt be able to do it.

Freddie had a vocal coach?????????? Maybe he couldn't do it today but then he would be 60! However even months before his death his voice was still strong and powerful - the album Made in Heaven proved that.

of course he did believe me there is no way he could got his voice as controld as that he he hadnt taken sining lessons! his voice was just as powerful on that album but so does Meats on bat 3! Jons on HAND! the reason Jon doesn have as many high songs is because he knows he will have to sing them live everyday on tour and his voice couldnt take that! hence why you get more low keys in Jovi songs! reason why Bonos voice is the same as it was is because they dont have any high keys songs as such!

Totally wrong. And the guys that said that jon could sing the Queen songs in the 80's are wrong too. Jon in the 80's like someone said didn't have the control, the AMAZING control and Range of Freddy. Jon, like most of the singers in the tribute, wouldn't have done justice to the songs.
Jon can't sing the high notes nowadays even from his own songs. Get jon to rest for a month, and then sing Always or Lie to me, I'M NOT EVEN SAYING LIVIN ON A PRAYER WICH IS TOTALLY UNREACHABLE FOR HIM NOW, and it will suck, plain and simple. He said it, you know it, now just accept it.

Try not to get this Thread too much offtopic please. I'm still trying to find an interview when anyone from BJ talked about anyone in Queen or the other way around. And obviously a Queen cover by BJ.
