I was one of those 12 year olds who was obsessed with Bon Jovi (especially Jon). He's 19 years older than me, but I never considered him an 'old geezer'. However, I do remember being a little embarassed about liking the band so much at a time when everyone else liked Nirvana. Now, they are so popular again that it's nice to be able to flaunt my preference. It's also nice that current teens consider them cool too...maybe this would've been nice when I was a teen, but then again I always liked that Bon Jovi was sort of my band and noone elses around me.
