There are a lot of Bon Jovi songs that have been there for me in difficult times. The one that really comes to mine is Just Older, and the lyrics

"you can't win until you're not afraid to lose"

They just hit me home, and gave me the strength I needed at a situation where I thought I just could not be strong. It has stuck me ever since, and cliched or not, it's one of my lifelines now.

I am not sure any have saved me as such. But they sure have made me feel good or helped through certain situations.

One of my favourites is oddly enough a Richie song "Father Time" esp the lines "..she didnt have the heart to try she didnt even have the guts to lie"...

I guess the song that means something to me right now is Welcome to wherever you are. It just fits for where my life is right now. The thing about BJ is that over the years there has almost always been a song that fits something that was going on in my life, it's one of the things that has always kept me interested in the band and why I always come back for one more go around.

I feel a sense of debt to the band as I don't know how i would have coped if i didn't have an escape with the music. I would like to hear other similar type of stories. Please no one reply with a generic answer like "all of the albums have helped me".

I had a similar experience. I also used to 'escape' in These Days, particularly (It's Hard) Letting You Go, too.

I'm still surprised when I come to this board how many Bon Jovi fans are out there, or maybe going to Giants really threw it in my face. Back in the early/mid nineties when I was obsessed with Bon Jovi I felt like I couldn't tell anyone because they would've made fun of me. I'm so glad I'm not alone
