Bono's Jesus, I don't think it has to do with anything else.

I think you'r all missing something...

What about the money spent on marketing? U2 uses a lot of money, to get ordinary people to know that they are vissiting the country. I don't think that BJ does that.
In 2000 when I was in Göteborg to the BJ show, we had to find out everything on the concert by our self. If we havent been BJ fans, we would not have noticed that BJ was in Göteborg before we would have read the rewiev in the newpaper.
With U2, every radiostation is talking about them comming to Denmark at least once a hour, and they have used huges money to get screen advertisement in TV, BJ didn't do that.

Off course the music is not the same, and no doubt that U2 is something that allmost everybody can listen to, no matter what record you take. U2 are much more pop-oriented than BJ, and U2 are just ordinary mainstream withouth any experiment, like BJ.

And many people do not see U2 as a band, they almost see them as a religion because of Bono, and that's great that the world has personalities like him, but it has nothing to do with music.

Besides, I don't think U2 have more fans than BJ. I am actually sure there are more die-hard BJ fans than U2 fans. Its only U2 seem more mature and peope go to their concert as going to the theater. Part of BJ's audience does the same but there still are people who go to get drunk and have a great night with loads of rock 'n' roll.
Do you get what I am tryin' to say?
i got your point.

BON JOVI'S concerts are rock and roll concerts instead of "mainstream pop" concerts by u2..

u2 has never rocked hard as bj..simply two completely different things and you know rock audience is a little bit down in the '00s

for example here in italy there was no promotion for the BOUNCE/TLFR/BOX SET release....even the cd stores didn't know there was a bj album comin out....and also no advertising on the radio...

for the last u2 album there was a HUGE promo...it seemed they were the only band still playin in the world

I heard it too that the u2 konzert was sold out in minutes, but I don't care. As long as I get tickets for my bj konzerts. It would kill me if I'd like to by tickets for bj konzerts and they tell me: Sorry it's already sold out. You are too late.

By the way, I don't like the way Bono sings. Please don't kill me
