U2 are, and you can say what you want, definetly a more mainstream oriented band these days. It hasn't got anything to do with being good or not. As POP or as CRAP Crush and respectively BOUNCE may be, they still are somehow heavier for a general audience than ALL THAT YOU CAN'T LEAVE BEHIND(I didn't hear the last one and I don't bother to hear it).

Besides, who is the only band who sold out Wembely 3 nights a row? Who is the band that has the highest ever number of people at a single act's show concert in Hyde Park? Who is the band who sold out Shepherd Bush Empire faster than ANY other badn in the world? Who is the band that had the most watchers at a concert webcast? Who is the band who drag almost every yeear(if you make an average)80 000 000 people in the Giants Stadium. Well...BON JOVi. Who cares if U2 have 10 000 people more at an Austrain show.
