Default black album?

i wonder why these days is known as the black album....for me, i think it;s the greatest album after ktf...plus, why doesn't the band play any songs from these days during tours...for example, they never played songs from these days during the crush tour...does anyone really knows why?

They played a lot of songs from These Days during the Crush Tour and some during the OWN tour.

Because with Crush, BJ were popular again in the US, they tried to repeat their success with Bounce, by producing some more simple pop tunes for the simple American. They tailor their concerts to the simple minds of the Yanks by playing simple pop songs. These Days wasn't popular at all in the US so they don't play songs from it in concert. They forgot that These Days was hugely popular eveywhere else, but f*ck everyone else because they are popular in the US again.

Crush wasn't all that popular KRB, it came and fell pretty fast. Plus, with the exception of It's My Life and perhaps Thank You, it really didn't get much airplay.

And I'm sure that most non fans people that bought the album just heard It's my life and forgot the others which are great (some not all!).

You're exactly right. Whenever I talk to fellow classmates about Bon Jovi, they'll always say something along the lines of, "Hey, aren't they those guys who do It's My Life?"

Someone even told me they bought Crush and only listened to that one song. He never listened to any of the others. Rediculous.

It's My Life is the only one that ever gets any radio play where I am, too. Sometimes they'll play Never Say Goodbye or Livin' on a Prayer, but I'll be darned if any non-Jovi fans know who's singing them.

And they didn't play any TD songs at the OWN concert I attended. Instead they played Shout. I hate Shout. It's a terrible way to end a show. They need to stop playing Shout.

I think These Days was a very creative album musically, but I find it hard to listen to because of the sad lyrics about heartbreaks and such. I don't think that many people want to go to concerts to hear depressing music. That's probably why they don't play songs from These Days. Either that or they're giving it a rest so that they can use These Days songs for a future tour. (Note that the same thing can be said about Fahrenheit. Although it is not nearly as solemn as These Days, there is some pretty sad stuff on there. I've been reading the bonjovi.com setlists and they have listed no Fahrenheit songs, either.)

didn't htey want to just play optimistic music at this time?? i heard that somewhere - dont remember where now but i thought they felt that These Days had alot of songs that were 'dark' .. still i think that album is one of the best and thye should definiately play more from it!!!!
Whats with Shout anyway? when did they decide that would be a good song to add??
