These Days is probably the ONLY BJ album that to this day would not have a word frequently associated with Bon Jovi- anthemic.

I just don't get where people get dark album from It is sheer brilliance. This album to me is where they peaked...musically and lyric wise. Jon's voice is amazing on it.

Me too...I have to admit I was stuck in the 80's and constantly listening to those, but I am enjoying These Days now.

That is a great one too. My heart still belongs to New Jersey though.

That's incorrect. They played "These Days" and some other songs at the Austria Concert in 2000.

I don't think These Days is a dark album....it has some deep meaning songs and lyrics, but not dark. I guess some people interpret it false. Even Jon once said that TD is a dark album....strange...[/i]

indeed, as someone said earlier its called a 'dark album' because it doesnt have the big anthem choruses that exist in the other albums.
Its a fantastic album also, god knows why it didnt sell well in yankee land..too intellectual maybe

Too emotional for the macho American men. We know why the English like it.

These Days is an exceptionally negative album!! I personally would rather listen to upbeat music like KTF rather than negativity like These Days....thankfully its the only negative album that BJ have ever made.

These Days is one of my least favourite albums....and i'm glad that they don't go and play miserable music in BJ concerts...its all upbeat which is great!!
