That's because his voice is stronger than Jon's voice. I very doubt him being on stage for his guitar playing, he covers for Jon way more than what people are aware of. If Jon could sing half as good as Bobby could and Bobby could play half as good of guitar as Richie can all would be well in Bon Jovi land.
