Default bon jovi 1990/92 and 1996/2000 breaks

hi...i read a thousand times their biography, their interview ecc ecc but even if they speak alot about their break from the end of the NJ tour until KEEP THE FAITH and from the end of the THESE DAYS tour until 2000 i have not understand yet if they were "REAL" breaks or not....i mean did the band exist during 1990/1992 and 1996/2000 or not? were they conscious to be lost or they in some way knew they would have been together as a band in the future?

Well you asked were they real breaks. No the band still was together as a band only not working. So the band still was a band. They never were lost. Only took a break form touring and stuff and spend more time on personal things!

In the 90 - 92 era they were pretty beat and their future was shaky. I don't think if they knew were they ever gonna play again, especially if things were gonna be as crazy as before. But then they fired the lawyers and the management and decided to give it another shot, or something.

After the These Days tour they were definately gonna be together in the future. They just decided to take a little hiatus, release some solo records etc. The next record was gonna be released in 98 or 99, but then their producer died and their record company got sold, so that pushed things back a bit.

But they definately weren't gonna break up after 96, not too sure about that early 90s era, though...

The New Jersey - Keep The Faith break was one where they didn't know what the future would be for the band. That's when all the rumours went around, I think it was Tico who was rumoured to be on the brink of leaving. Although, the band said later that none of the rumours were true.

The last I read about it was in an issue of Classic Rock last year, which summed the whole thing up.

Peter Collins Produced The "Crossroad" Sessions. He's also produced for the likes of Ozzy,Alice Cooper,Queensryche & erm Cliff Richard.(True!)

The Reason you didn't hear about him Dying is that he's still alive!

But The Producer Dying the previous poster was reffering to was Bruce Fairbairn, who produced Slippery When Wet & New Jersey.

He was on course to produce "Crush",after finishing stuff he was working on.

"After wrapping up sessions for a forthcoming release from Yes, on May 17, 1999 he was found dead in his Vancouver home; Fairbairn was just 49. "

During that period there were lots of rumours going on. As Jon once said in an interview( don`t know which one) they had been on the road way too long and they started to irritate eachother. Besides that the power was gone and they all needee to do some for themselves. After the break they had KTF and the rocord showed how they worked things out. And Jon said in that same interview he never doubted...
