i dont see how crush/bounce is a waste of time or talent, crush is an awesome album imo with two great classics in IML and just older, bounce album i admit, didnt quite hit the mark, but with a few more solos and more rock songs i think it woud have tho.

Since they got a lot of new fans with Crush and Bounce it can't be a waste of talent.

Just cos you dont like these albums doesnt mean all bon jovi fans dont either. Some fans hate these days. but then others think its their best album yet. Crush and bounce arnt bad records at all in my opinion, and have plenty of good songs on them. So i dont think the last three years have been wasted by any means

hey yes im 14 and i got a few people into them, everyone loves the latest album!Even one of my friends reckons all about lovin you is better than always, so maybe the younger genaration relate to these albums more i guess....

but as for internet piracy - that plays no part at all and the band just exaggerates it as do all other bands. Successful bands use the internet to boost record sales, and it's clear the same happened with BJ ... all that online promo etc

they've used it as a tool to sell a product

we'll see what the future holds.

I don't see how IML and Just older can be called classics... In fact IML is the ony song from Crush that was "ok" to hear live. Just older was awful. Crush is about as middle of the line as you can get, and not a rock record. But that's the difference opinion makes.

They could have put down their instruments, stolen some 60's pop songs and done a boy band album. This would have attracted new fans....

You may argue that they're only interested in selling and increasing popularity, in which case Crush and Bounce were not a waste of time, but in terms of talent it could be the most popular album in the world, create more new fans than an album ever has, but that doesn't mean musically it's any good, and doesn't mean that they are realising their talent to make music.

yeh i agree with Mike. Just older is a fantastic song. As jon said on the 2000 Crush Tour DVD. Its one of the Anthems that fans really seemed to anjoy at the shows so far. Its great when JBJ and RS hug each other!

I think Just Older is great live!!
The only good bit is Tico's drumming.... the rest of them should keep quiet for that song and let Tico strut his stuff!
