Bon Jovi 2000-2003:What a waste of talent!

My brother was a so called newbie last year, he tried to listen to Crush but I banned him from any post 1996 Bon Jovi, and he was all the better for it. He likes good music, and had I have let him listen to Crush I doubt he'd have got into the band, however replacing the CD with 7800 made him a fan.

I talk about what I don't like about Bon Jovi, I talk about what I do like. It's a discussion board, I'm going to discuss various aspects of the band.... if I wanted to just praise everything they do I'd go over to backstage.

Firstly, I for one do not praise the albums. Secondly, are you suicidal?

I didn't get all the way though Bounce, and my time was waisted... I would be missed, just as anybody would be missed. It's a discussion group, there needs to be a range in opinions for debates to continue. If everybody felt the same way then there would be no board.


And there are bands who have been doing it a hell of a lot more than Bon Jovi, who are still coming up with albums that are respected in rock circles, and are doing it for the fans.

I will stick up for Bon Jovi if I'm talking with an Oasis fan, but amongst other Bon Jovi fans what have I got to stick up for? We're all fans, this is privite.

I want to "stick around" as you put it because I still love the old music, and I know the band can still write good music, even if their last two albums doesn't back me up. Live they can still hit it with things like Faith, Blood on Blood, Wild in the Streets, Raise your Hands.

Fans are always going to be the biggest critics of the band, that's not just for Bon Jovi, that's for anybody. If you've never seen a show before your going to think it's great, if you've seen 10 then you can compare it, and you know relative to what that band can do how good it was. If your a real fan, and really know the songs, then you're going to be critical of things that doen't meet yor expecctations, and C+B didn't meet my expectations,

I'd say if I was the band I'd want to know what the fans think of it, as they know the music better than anybody else.
I never said it was, but don't tell me that my opinion is not valued around here, and that if I'm negative I should just leave.... gimp

I'm saying thinking that is enough of a reason to do it...

so what, this topic has apeared 100's of times... If we said somebody can only ever post once on any given are of dicussion, then we'd only have about 2 posts per topic

you seem to post thinking you have the final say. people offer opinions, you offer the answer that was obviously given to you by god himself.

no as I've said numersou times on this topic, it's just my opinion.... I never claimed to think what I said was any better than anybody else... I never claimed to have the final say......

well give somebody else a say rather than calling them a gimp. you know you hold a lot of power on this board due to number of posts, who you get on with etc so you already have an unfair advantage. let people think what they want rather than being pressured to conform.
