I get what you're saying--that maybe it's easier to connect with their music for someone of a Christian background than for someone of, say, a Muslim background. That makes sense. I don't think I'd connect as easily to lyrics if they were referencing religious texts other than the Bible. On the other hand, when Jon sings, "I'm what Cain was to Abel, the imagry is immediate.
