Default Bon Jovi and Creed

I was reading the post last night and someone asked how people felt about Creed and when I was done my post the site was down so I am posting it now. Just so you know where I am coming from with this:

Creed is one of the best bands out there. My ultimate cocert would be to see then with Bon Jovi. Their styles are simular and it would be awesome to see them together. Creed gets a lot of heat from people for no reason and a lot of people seem to hate them for dumb reasons. Bon Jovi gets the same kind of treatment so they have something in common. I remember listening to the local Philly rock station and they sometimes read a fan letter before a song. Someone requested a Creed block and the fan wrote that after their concert in Philly that the radio station that sponsered the show was playing music. Livin' On A Prayer came on and as the fans filed out of the arena, little by little the fans started singing it until the whole Creed crowd was singing along to Prayer. It's nice to see that kinda thing and for someone writing a letter to get Creed played and it ending up dealing with Bon Jovi shows that they are more alike then people think. BTW, Don't Stop Dancing was a bad choice for a next single. Should of been Weathered.

You are true there Jack... Creed is loved by millions of fans, but are also hated by millions of fans... Bon Jovi is not really all of that popular in the music industry these days and that is where Creed comes into play. Creed would be a great band to see live and Bon Jovi and Creed in one concert would be great. As for next singles from Creed... Don't Stop Dancing was a mistake and I think Stand Here With Me, or Hide should have been the next single...

BOUNCE,
Ryan

I know Creed have a huge following and I respect that. To tell you the truth, if Creed played with Bon Jovi, I think I would pass out. I really hate Creed. Again, that's my opinion. They are nothing like BJ. Creed to me anyway, is a total rip off of Pearl Jam. At least Bon Jovi was original when he came out in the 80's. Not to mention, I can't tell one Creed song from the next because they all sound the same. Again, I understand you guys like them and all but PLEASE don't recommend them playing together. I think that woud be a travesty to Rock N Roll fans everywhere. I predict Creed won't even be remembered in 10 years unlike BJ!!

Man, those are harsh words. I'd love to see them in concert together. If someone doesn't like a band, you are gonna say that their songs sound the same. I'm a BIG Pearl Jam fan and I don't see them ripping PJ off. I didn't say that their music was the same, just the way people see them. You shouldn't use your Creed prejedice to not see that they get a bad rap like Bon Jovi do. With a band selling millions of records, how can they be bad? I'm sure you use the same excuse to defend Bon Jovi. BTW, did I mention that I'd like to see them in concert together? But I'm sure someone like you would rather see Bon Jovi perform with that egotistical Axl Rose that says that Bon Jovi can suck his dick, right? The main issue with my post was the story of Creed fans from a concert were singing Prayer. Sorry that you couldn't appreciate that with your Creed hating.

You know, Like Jack said again..... Millions of records being sold... How could they be bad?? They are the biggest rock group right now and are showing fans around the world what they can do. Pearl Jam, they way the see there future and music is the same. But as recordings, I really don't see a relationship... Bon Jovi's time was the 80's and lower 90's.. Now it's another band that is selling and selling.... Time to pass the torch..

BOUNCE,
Ryan

Well, are you saying that as long as an artist (or band) sells a boatload of records, then the artist (or band) is good?

Anyway musically Creed and PJ are slightly different to my ears but the voice... that's too similar and since I didn't like Vedder's voice, I can't get into Creed.

I am not exactley saying that... What I am trying to say is that when they are selling those amounts of records, they are at their peak.. They can still be good of course... But you know, If there songs are not played, they are not liked as much as they could be...

BOUNCE,
Ryan

Ahhh BonJovi 4 ever, me thinks you may visit the OTHER board. Just to clarify something, Axl said that because an airline employee mistook him for Jon at the airport, it was nothing against BJ. When Axl was on Howard Stern, ol' Howie tried to get him to say negative stuff about BJ and Axl wouldn't. Not that I am here to defend Axl, but I want you to get your info. right. The other thing is, that just because someone sells millions of albums, does not mean that they are good, look at Britney Spears for goodness sake. Hey, if you like Creed, all the power to you, but I just hate them. No biggie! I am a Creed hater and proud!!! LOL

So, hold on one sec... I think about this and... You know.. If you do sell millions of albums, you have to be good. Simple... I mean c'mon... Get real here people... Even Creed haters need to admit that they are good, even though they don't like their music...

J.Lo????? She can't even sing for god's sake, but she sold an awful lot of albums, maybe it's her butt because it's sure not her music. It's not like the old days, anyone can make a record and sell albums but it's the staying power that counts. If they can survive for 20 years then I will be impressed.
