Default Bon Jovi and KISS in 1984-1987

I thought this was a fun articke, although the writer does seem to angle himself towards Bon Jovi a bit...

And Google Translate is your friend.

Thanks, Ice! Nothing really new, but still interesting! I didn't know Paul had gotten on stage at the Donington show in 1987 with them.

They really were stupid to try and follow Bon Jovi to the degree that they did. Just different bands. They didn't right the ship until Revenge and by then it was too late. If they did something like Revenge in 1987 instead of Crazy Nights they could have possibly had more of a resurgence.

Have you ever heard Live To Win; or Say Yeah? It's not like Paul ever stopped going down that route. Dude's actually pretty good at doing Desmond Child-like stuff, too bad Gene's tracks stunk up the party in the '80s.

But either way, weird to think of that packaging nowadays, especially with Iron Maiden in the mix.

I liked "Live To Win" quite a bit. It got some heavy rotation at the time. "Say Yeah" was alright. I ranked it least of the Paul songs from the album... so of course it was picked to represent the album on tour along with Modern Day Delilah and I'm An Animal.

Frankly, I give Paul the award for carrying of the Desmond-tunes better as a vocalist.

In one of the KISS books I have(Behind the Mask iirc) Bruce Klick said Paul Stanley was "obsessed" about writing Bon Jovi style tunes. Paul to me had always been the main man in the 80s regarding songwriting. Genes stuff was mainly awful and i honestly cant think of many decent songs he wrote after Lick It Up(the album). He even admits himself he was pre occupied by being a film star in this period.
I was at the Donington show with PS coming on with Dee Snider and Bruce Dickinson,it capped off a great night. Even saw the KISS/Bon Jovi tour in 84.
God I,m getting old

How do you work google translate?

Easiest is to use Google Chrome (it translates it straight into the webpage so you can just read on the same website in English - well, sort of English, you still need to interpret what Google translates for you)

It's actually a nice little article. Doesn't say much new but the pictures are absolutely awesome! And yes, I wish I was at those gigs! Would have been awesome!!!

People can we please go off topic here and let this topic end up in some bizarre fight?

I'll start:

My smartphone doesn't let me do this when I read the Spanish message out loud.
