Look at it this way... Not only is Metallica more popular... They have just dominated the world of hard rock since 1990.... It's nuts that you can say that! I think Jon should be washing James's ass!

This surprises you? All those metal mags had Bon Jovi, Metallica, Poison, Warrant, Slaughter, Motley Crue, Megadeath, etc in the same issues.

Metallica and Bon Jovi are the two of those bands that are still around and doing consistently well, no matter what twists and turns they've taken.

Hey...

It depends how you look at it... I know that a whole lot of people havent cared for what metallica has done since the black album and they feel very betrayed cause Metallica have more than once sold their souls...
Not many of their fans go to their shows to hear stuff from Load, reload or st anger they want old school metallica... In fact a lot of people feel that metallica have betrayed their fans more than Bon Jovi

It's hard to say whos more popular... Bon Jovi or Metallica....

Hmm... Not very smart are ya... Look at their last tour... In a span of close to two years... They played show after show after show with setlists that make an older fan proud. They played all the hits and had quite a bit of rarities on top. My friend... Being popular doesn't mean they are good. Being popular has so much to do with the sales... If they were'n't popular.. They wouldn't have sold 2+ million with St. Anger... Think about it. They obviously haven't had a problem selling. As for Bon Jovi??????

Then go post on the Metallica message boards.

That band S-O-L-D O-U-T BIG TIME after the Black album. You cant tell me their new material is better Bon Jovi's latest? And i think BJ took a major turn with the newer material but they in no way shape or form sold out like Metallica did.
