That band S-O-L-D O-U-T BIG TIME after the Black album. You cant tell me their new material is better Bon Jovi's latest? And i think BJ took a major turn with the newer material but they in no way shape or form sold out like Metallica did.
Do me a favor and tell me how Metallica sold out... Holy shit you contradicting yourself big time... Metallica made different music and sold out to the long time fans.... When Bon Jovi makes new music, they just take a big turn, but haven't sold out..

You were swimming in your daddy's nut sack when I saw them in the late 80's/early 90s. There sound took an illegal U-turn dude.

Ok, so what... I'm not denying that they changed... Didn't Bon Jovi do the same thing... Jesus... You just don't get it.

No. Bon Jovi really didnt change other then not making great albums that can compare to Slippery and New Jersy. But the sound is still the same. Yeah the new Box Set sounds diffenet in ways but because they were demos and rare recordings. If they mastered thos tracks for a studio album they would have more of the Jovi sound. Agree?

I disagree... They could make albums compared to Slippery and Jersey... Bu they chose not to because they wanted to do something different, therefor changing it up a bit. Changing is changing... Bon Jovi did as much of it as Metallica have.

A good example on how Metallica sold out is take a look at that pic on the cover. that was what? 1988-1989?? They were 4 guys who wore black jeans, black leather jackets and never washed their hair. Take the LOAD era and on the inside sleeve you have pussy Lars wearing a pink Boa and eye liner like some tranny. See what im saying? There music wasnt as heavy and their look became trendy like every other band of todays generation. SELL OUT!

and they killed the joy of free MP3s

metallica first sold out when they did a real music video(one)and get played on MTV and a lot of die hard fans think they sold out when they did the black album... and than you have load and reload and they even got an MTV icon show for a band that were trash metal kings and hated everything about MTV and claimed that they never would do a music video and their music turn is way way bigger than bon jovis...

This is just a few things

Wow, take a look at that... Bon Jovi wore their hair long and heavy with all the wild looks. They partied and had girls in the rooms and etc. They were living like stars. Then came the gradual change... They all cut their hair and dressed to look "trendy" and even recorded music that sounded "trendy". Look at the facts bud.

Wow... C'mon people... They were honored with the MTV Icon Award.... They are Metal Icons and nobody can deny that. You keep contradicting yourselves with "sellout" issue. Look at Bon Jovi... My god, Jon looks like a Princess nowadays...
