And I'm just getting a bit irritated by some of your observations, to be honest. I didn't see anyone accuse Slash of selling out for going on American Idol. And if they want to let as many people as they can know they have a new album, then it's just pure business sense to do it.
Well a lot all of your posts annoy me too, but I didn't call you a twat because it's not a very nice thing to say about somebody (I very much doubt you'd say it to my face)

You stand by everything the band does and make excuses for them when they clearly are doing the wrong thing, you are a sycophant.

Slash was (as has been stated after your post) lambasted for his appearance on American Idol also.

Only said you were sounding like a twat with your comment, not that you were one. In all fairness, it was a pretty daft ****ing post. I've read it again to see if I was being harsh to you, but i'm afraid it still comes off to me as trying to be smart and failing miserably. (oh and I'd tell you to your face if I thought something you said was idiotic too - I'm not shy)

I don't defend everything the band does because quite obviously there's no defence for crap like She's A Mystery. I just genuinely like most of the stuff they've done, to a greater or lesser degree. Other than musically, I'm not sure where else I defend them that you're referring to. But even if I do, by the same token, surely that's just the same as someone who slags them off on every post and wishes it was 1987 again?

And I love the band enough that I want them to keep going and remain relevant - if part of that involves them appearing on X-factor then I'm all for it. The music industry is no longer what it was - Bands need to find other ways to get their audience. You seem to be worried about their rock credibility - but they pretty much don't have any except the fact that secretly, they are many rock fans guilty secret that never gets admitted to. Not going on x-factor wouldn't change that one bit.
