Oh.. and I guess I should apologise for a spontaneous reply and for actually staying on topic.

I saw Billy Joe induct Guns N' Roses into the RnR hall of fame and I threw up a little. Regardless of the fact that a teenie-pop-punk band inducting the baddest motherf*ckin' ROCK band of the 80s into the Hall of Fame is plain WRONG and should not be allowed...period...regardless of that, his speeches were soooo BAD that I wanted to smack him in the face. Honestly. If I were Izzy or Axl and they told me - we got Billy Joe Green Day to induct you into the Hall of Fame, I would have never come either!

As about the actual comments, I don't know when Green Day played with Bon Jovi, but unless it was Hull 2006, LIVE, Bon Jovi is still better than 80% of the bands out there. So he probably simply dislikes them and used to occasion to express it.

On a slightly different note, Dave Grohl actually considers Bon Jovi and AC/DC to be two of the best live bands in the world...and I think I read that in the Financial Times or somewhere odd like that

I think he is talking about the Jingle Ball show and Bon Jovi were miles better than anyone else on the list, much to the surprise of everyone considering how they'd mostly been written off in America in those years.

I'm working on the 1994 era for my website right now though and the Jingle Ball show in 1994 had no acoustic songs at all, unless they're thinking of the way Bon Jovi opened with Always in an acoustic way as opposed to with the drum intro in 1995.
