there's a book called Barry Trotter that takes the piss out of the 1st harry potter book and I dunno how or if they got away with it but as I said, if someone's put a substantial amount of thought or effort into a lyric then someone else can't copy it, just being similar doesn't count.

Good point mate I never thought about the fact it was a parody.

I dunno what the deal is with parodie's, my bro will bprobably be clued up cause he knows more music law than myself but IMO you're still using someone elses work to parody it y know.
