There's a guitar instructions book called "Play Guitar With Bon Jovi" that has instrumental versions of many songs on the CD that comes with the book.

Unless you have access to the original multi-tracked recordings of the songs you're after, you'll struggle to get anywhere near removing the vocals from a song especially whilst keeping the rest of the track sounding good. In fact, I can't think of any software you could use to do something like that effectively.

Adobe Audition (Cool Edit Pro) has a 'vocal cut' parameter but it only really acts to cut the frequencies usually found in the vocal range of songs, so it won't cut it well enough for use as a karaoke version unfortunately.

The trouble with books like Ice mentioned above is that the songs are only the complete track-length versions on the no-vocals and no-guitar renditions of the tracks.

The demo tracks that have guitar included and show you how to play the guitar parts are only part-songs which miss out choruses, verses and bridges here and there.

Or at least, they are on the 'Jam with Bon Jovi' CD that I have.

If you own the Crush Tour DVD you can get a usable karaoke version of It's My Life by extracting the surround sound track and inverting the center channel. This works because the center channel is almost exclusively vocals so inverting it cancels out the vocals in the side channels, but not the instruments.

I usually find if I try and invert a channel in a stereo recording I almost always cancel out the drums aswell because they are also recorded on both channels whereas other instruments tend to be panned slightly to one side.

Also, never try and cancel vocals on an mp3. The compression introduces artifacts so the content meant to be the same on both channels doesn't exactly match up after compression.

BTW there's tons of BJ songs on karaoke. To find what discs they are on, go to
http://www.kjpro.com/browse/ and search "bon jovi". It will tell you what disc/company the song is on, and then you can somehow order that disc. But they're never cheap.
