The Nokia promo concert from 2005-09-19 was filmed and broadcast in HD. I have a beautiful copy of it in HD which I transferred from my TiVo.

I realize that this is not the same as being "released". But they were filming in high definition back in 2005.

I would really love to see Live in London in Blu-ray, but is that even possible as you guys are talking about HD-cameras and shit.
I sure know they weren't around during the TD-era.

An evening with... would also be awesom in Blu-ray but prob the same problem.

Nothing worth to the other DVD's released to re-buy them in blu-ray

Aren't all gigs filmed using HD cameras for the purposes of the big screens?

Would they sell that many Blu-rays? If I have all the stuff in DVD, I can't afford to buy all the same stuff over again. Jon has to think about the working man!

The stuff that was shot on video (Pre HD cameras) will be SD (Standard definition), but there have been releases of SD material on blu-ray (Life on Mars for example).

If 'Live from London' was recorded on 'film' (which I think it was, correct me if i'm wrong) then it's possible to have a true HD transfer, as film stock is already higher resolution than HD.

So let's hope 'An Evenig With..' was recorded on film aswell then.

Please.

I don't think the band or record company own the rights to the Live From London footage, hence why we didn't have the full concert on VHS and DVD already. Still we can always hope. If it was beefed up for a Blu Ray release with full concert, Dolby 5.1 and a load of extras, and if I ever get round to buying a Blu Ray player, I'd buy it without hesitation.

Maybe this new format will encourage the record company to reissue their VHS back catalogue, but again, I find this even less likely than DVD releeases of them.

Also, wasn't This Left Feels Right Live filmed in HD?

I know Obie tends to be rather hit-or-miss on the info he hands out but does anyone know if he's ever been asked about why the Live From London show was never released in full and whether it ever could/would be?
