If every one was a twat like you that'd be the case, yeah. Fortunately, Jovitalk has plenty of nice people like myself who are willing to help someone out.

In regards to the original question; It really depends on what your favourite era of the band is and if you can stand listening to audience recordings as quality differs a lot from what's officially out there. The list of "essential" recordings is quite different per bootleg collector. What I deem a good show might not be someone else's cup of tea due to them preferring a different era from the band.

As to where to get them, I've no idea really, I'm way out of the loop. My collection stops pretty much in 2010. Anything released after I deem unlistenable due to Jon's poor vocals. Same goes for anything before 1990. Chances are you might disagree though, it's all about personal taste.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Whatever! He misspelled "everyone"... That's all he's got anyway. Every time I back his sorry ass into a corner, he points something stupid out.

He's the biggest Troll here and has never even handed a single song over to another fan.

He loves to bring people down when they get excited over something. He's just a piece of shit. Him and Grover Dill....

Funny how you fail to use proper grammar a lot, but English is his second language and still manages it better than you.

I have to ask you Seb. What is it with the 2011 Europe shows you don't appreciate? The band really had some great energy and Jon's voice was pretty great. And the setlist were exciting for a fan from show to show. Sure, some dull shows, but every tour has those.

Oh, I like those shows as well, I just stopped collecting somewhere during 2010 because I was introduced to other bands, and dug into their studio work instead. There's only so much you can listen to, and to be honest; Get Ready was great fun in Lisbon but Jon sounds dreadful on the recording. And despite the 2011 shows in Europe being really great, no show beat Amsterdam or Frankfurt 2008 for me. It was just a different band I witnessed that no longer completely blew me away.

I guess I just don't get my kicks anymore from hearing Jon sing a rare song, but then murdering it at the same time. I remember being introduced to a band called Guster in 2010 who's harmonies really put Jon and Richie to shame, and they just sounded so much better, which really put things into perspective for me. Why listen to shitty recordings when there's so many good acts out there?

And besides that, I'd already slowly stopped losing interest in getting bootlegs anyway. I recorded 5 shows in Canada for someone else because she kind of begged me to, and I did it to do her a favour. I can't say I ever sat down and listened to any of the shows though. I think it was halfway through that tour that I decided to hand over the forum to her. This fell through and I shut down the site altogether.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I think the age of the bootleg is dead anyway. You can get pretty much anything on YouTube now if you look hard enough. And with Bon Jovi the structure has pretty much been the same for 5 years so there's nothing surprising. My favorite bootleg from all time is probably Japan 1991 New Years Eve. Epic gig right before they all went away to rediscover themselves.

I've found a few good ones through eBay over the last few months! Still on the hunt for older shows... I wish a lot of these websites were still around. Oh well
