Bingo. They've made a point to not give our Prayer, Bad Name, Wanted, etc to these "For sale on tv" best of the 80's things.

And yah. For anyone who didn't like the Who Says country remix, the band had little to do with the arrangement of the stuff, I believe that was done in Nashville without them. So keep faith, it'll be fine.

Yep, very true. I can't recall one single interview where Jon uses the next record is a country record.

Yep, Jon and Richie said they sent it to Dann Huff to country if up for them, lol!

Thank you! I knew it was Dann something. Fun fact, Dann played pedal steel guitar on the box set.

Well, I did not know that about Dann playing on the box set. Cool! He was at the CMA's. They showed him in the audience a few times.

So, is this "country" record and the next Bon Jovi album one and the same thing? So far I thought that would be two different projects, with Jon and Richie in Nashville on the one hand and the band alltogether at Sanctuary II (or wherever) on the other...

That's the one fact I will repeat until my face turns blue. They started the country thing long before Who Says was deemed a hit. I cannot repeat that enough (and will probably repeat it 10 more times this month)

Oh yea, you know I agree with you and have named off quite a few songs from the box set that have a (todays) country sound/feel to them.

I just wish I knew which ones had the country sounds added in the mixing stage and which ones sounded like that years ago. Meh. Either way, I love it.

I personally don't know what to think about this country record. Jon has said that they're country songs without the twang. How does that work? Are Who Says You Can't Go Home (the band version) or Someday I'll Be Saturday Night or These Days or Blaze Of Glory country songs without the twang or are they just rock songs? If you take the twang out of country doesn't it cease to be country and become a pop/rock song, which is exactly what Bon Jovi always do.
if the album sounds like these days or blaze of glory, I'm all up for it
