The country genre has broadened so much. If you look at songs from the Eagles like Desperado, Take It Easy, Lying Eyes, etc, or songs by John Mellencamp that's more what the current country sound is like. There is still some super twangy stuff but not like it used to be.

So why has Jon been calling this a country album? If it's just another Bon Jovi record then all this/that country talk is nothing but a pulicity stunt. Jumping on the bandwagon of what's popular right now.
