Default Bon Jovi Covers

I love to see Bon Jovi perform songs that aren't theirs; I.E Meatloafs "Love Hurts", Bob Dylans "Knocking on Heavens Door", and more.

I always dream of what songs Bon Jovi would kick the ass of if they did a cover for the song. Heres my list:

1) Unchained Melody (Righteous Brothers)
2) Johnny B Goode (i heard they already done this.. haven't heard it though)
3) Rawhide
4) Please Forgive Me (Bryan Adams)
5) Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin)
6) Shake your Tailfeathers (Ray Charles)
7) I can't stop loving you (Ray Charles)
Iris (Goo Goo Dolls)
9) Careless Whisper (Wham! And George Michael)

Those are just my thoughts; If i had more time i'd list more.
And your ideas?

Sorry, I'm one of them who wish they'd cut out the covers in Bad Medicine and Sleep When I'm Dead and play more of their own songs. I think Unchained Melody might be a bit of a stretch vocally!

Richie did an amazing version of Get Back on his solo tour though. After saying that I only remember it for the solo when he shouted "Watch this" slammed his guitar on the floor and dived on it before playing an absolutely blistering solo. What a show that was.

I have a bootleg version of Knockin' On Heavens Door which the band covered some time in the 90s. Jon introduces it saying that it greatly influenced his writing for the Young Guns soundtrack as it was written about Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.

As for Raw Hide and Shake a Tail Feather, are you a Blues Brothers fan by any chance? I don't know who originally recorded Raw Hide but the version in the Blues Brothers movie is great.

Love Hurts is not a cover, it's a Bon Jovi original.

There are 2 of them. One that Bon Jovi wrote (the one you're referring to), and a cover Bon Jovi did from Meatloafs "Love Hurts".

Where's the cover? It's been rumoured to be a cover of a Nazareth song, a Meatloaf song etc, but it's always the same New Jersey demo called Love Hurts.

Hmm. With a bit of research i found the original was from CHER.
I guess Meatloaf, Nazareth, Bon Jovi covered it too.

I´d guess people are thinking that for some reason Nazareth´s version is actually Bon Jovi. The same thing with Ugly Kid Joe´s version of Cats In The Cradle.
