Let me try to fix this for you...

The original "Love Hurts" was recorded by the Everly Brothers. Since then it's been covered a lot of times. However, Bon Jovi have NEVER covered it.

Meatloaf has never recorded a song named "Love Hurts", it's just a mislabeled "I Would Do Anything For Love". If he's played a live version, I don't know and don't care.

Nazareth and Cher covered the original, I guess I should've looked that up, but I don't care about Cher or Nazareth that much.

Anyway, the "Love Hurts" you're referring to is probably a song by a guy called Corey Hart. It's NOT, I repeat, NOT the same song as the Bon Jovi DEMO called "Love Hurts". Just look at the lyrics.

Bon Jovi's:
I go to work, beds aren't made
Honeymoon's over, bills aren't paid
What happened to us, do we battle too much?
Man loves a woman, it's never enough

A love that won't be there if money is tight
I run to the shelter of your own sky
We sit at the table at the end of the day
A couple of drinks, the pain goes away

I know we're both too tough to cry
No one knows the reason why

Love hurts, hurts you inside
From the day that you're born 'till the day that you die
Love hurts, the hurts goes away
Hold on to your heart, we'll make it someday
Love hurts, love hurts

Love Hurts:
Love hurts, love scars,
Love wounds, and marks,
Any heart, not tough,
Or strong, enough
To take a lot of pain,
Take a lot of pain
Love is like a cloud
Holds a lot of rain
Love hurts, ooh ooh love hurts

Just the same, eh? Next time, try Google.

Iv always thought theyd do a cracking cover of Life on Mars by David Bowie.

Id like to see them cover a more modern song too though, Jons always going on about how he likes the new wave of rock bands like the killers and Franz Ferdinand, it would be great to her them do a totally unpredictable cover on the next tour.

He did it in Australia in 1998 solo. I think the version you have may be from that. I think that's when he was talking about how it influenced his songwriting for Blaze.

isn't the Bon Jovi tradition to cover songs that preceed the band??
