I always thought/expected that Box sets, were something of a "best of" of a band's carrier you know...

Anyhow your reasoning is quite logical if you are taking into account only what the band wanted to do. I'm talking abt though what i personally expected from such a box set.

By the way i'm not sure how many of their new fans nowdays know some stuff of the earlier - real rocking - period of the band. I see people quoting that " Shot through the Heart " not even the correct title (Bad Name) is one of the best Bon Jovi songs.....

At the time the box set was released they did acknowledge the fact that most box sets are just collections of albums or other previously released material but that they wanted to do something different...I don't think anyone can fault that decision or say that they failed because the box set really was what they said it was gonna be...
