Kathleen, that's really cool that your son turned you on to Bon Jovi. And I'm assuming that you'll be attending the Giants shows together, which is awesome. What a great bonding experience

I was watching 100 Greatest Moments of Rock and Roll on Vh1 last year. It was about 75, 76 (I think) when the part of World Aide came up. The only reason I was watching it, at the time, was for a showcase of Queen (I love the Queen ). And I started freakin' out because there was World Aide - and I knew Queen was there, greatness. About halfway through the little segment they named a few bands that performed, in Birtain and the US. Bon Jovi: Runaway... I just heard that one song - that one word, and I was hooked. Been hooked since. It was the only song that I wanted to listen to when I borrowed Crossroads from my friend (KATHY! ). But the real kicker was when I bought Slippery When Wet.

I was a fan when I first heard runaway as a kid in 84-85...but I knew I would be a longtime fan when I heard SWW

1992 - KTF. I was 12 or 13. I fell in love like a BSWJBJer would with his hair and ass after watching MTV's Evening With Bon Jovi. Then I grew up. I fell for the music and the band's great writing and performance skills.

In 1992 I saw a BJ-weekend on MTV or something like that and thought, wow, great music. Who are they? The first album I bought was KTF. Back then we had a shop here in my city where you could rent CDs and after I liked KTF very much I rented all other albums incl. solos that were published until then and recognized that I like all of them and I wanted to get to know more about the band.

And to say it with Richie's word "the rest is history" LOL.

Exactly the same for me. It was KTF that made me a fan, but it was the concert in Turku in 1995 that made me hooked for life!!!
